In a landmark decision with deep historical significance, the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Uba Sani, has approved plans to establish a Hausa Royal Dynasty (Hausa Dynasty) within the Zazzau Emirate. This move is widely seen as a bold step toward restoring historical balance, justice, and inclusiveness in the traditional leadership structure of Zaria.

Enugu Smart Schools: Turning Aspiration into Reality
Ndi Enugu,
I bring you very warm greetings this morning, a day we usher in a new epoch in the history of our dear state, and in the life of our children. It’s a day of celebration as much as for introspection.
Africa today is the youngest continent in the world. More than 60% of our people are under the age of 25. By 2050, our population will reach 2.5 billion, and one in every three young people on earth will be an African. This is a stark reminder that our future will be built by young hands.

A popular axiom stresses it that it is what we see that we get. Going by this simple but age long expressed axiom, one is inspired to note that in a Democratic Governance system which Nigeria adopted and is also practicing there is need to look into the Office of the Citizen to among other things seek to know what the office truly is and what we are seeing. Let us begin the process.

It is no news that
Abia State did not have elected Local Government Chairmen in the 17 local
Government Councils at the time Dr. Alex Otti was sworn in as the elected Governor
of Abia State. Aware of the enormous
task ahead of him and the administration he represents in Abia state, and very confident of the place of the local government in the
delivery of democracy dividends and development of the state generally, he appointed credible people to man the
affairs of each of the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Abia State pending
the time election is conducted to elect people into office at the 17 local
government Councils. The head, Executive of each of the 17 Councils and their Deputies were named by the Governor, Dr Alex Otti as Mayors and Deputy Mayors respectively.

"For as long as the Old Eastern region remain in disarray and not united, self-determination of the region will remain impossible." ~ An anonymous retired Nigerian Army Chief
The word “South-South,” even though it may sound absurd, is a name we have come to accept as a people. We can’t say exactly how we came about to be identified with the name neither can we say exactly when we were given the name, but we just know it is our name. While growing up back in the days, geography taught us about “the North,” “the South,” “The East” and “The West.” For proper definition of locations, we were also told about “The Northwest, NorthEast, Southwest and SouthEast” I can’t remember anything like the “NorthNorth”, “SouthSouth”, “EastEast” or Westwest , but here I am today, writing a letter to my South-South brethren. That is what happens to a people that are not in control of their Cultural Development or the Political and Economic Future.
Retired Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Chikwendu Onyike, and Hon. Harrison Anuke were recently in Umuahia, the Abia State Capital appointed Mayor and Deputy Mayor respectively, of Isuikwuato Local Government Area, Abia State, by Dr. Alex Otti, the Governor.
Dear All,
Is it possible that most appeasers and chronic defenders of obnoxious, rascal and dented actions of political office holders of yesterday are gradually going into oblivion, their enthusiasm waning and discomfort taking over?

7TH NOVEMBER, 2023.
The RT. Hon. Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly,
Honourable Members and
Fellow Citizens of Plateau State.
My dear fellow citizens of Plateau State,
1. It is with utmost pleasure and humility that I address you on this special day, which marks Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Anniversary. With profound gratitude to the Almighty God, we come together on this special day to reflect on our past, celebrate our present achievements, and collectively envision a brighter future for our beloved nation. On this day, we must express appreciation to our founding fathers for their great sacrifices and the patriotism they demonstrated on our journey to independence.
TEXT OF A STATE BROADCAST BY HIS EXCELLENCY, BARR CALEB MANASSEH MUTFWANG, EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF PLATEAU STATE
Being A speech Delivered on the 32nd Anniversary of the Creation of Abia State on Sunday, August 27, 2023, Umuahia, Abia State.
*TEXT OF DEMOCRACY DAY NATIONAL BROADCAST BY HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GCFR ON JUNE 12, 2023*
Fellow Nigerians,
2. It is exactly three decades today that Nigerians went to the polls to exercise their inalienable right to elect a President of their choice to lead the transition from military dictatorship to a representative government of the people.
3. The abortion, by military fiat, of the decisive victory of Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the June 12, 1993, presidential election, up to that time, the fairest and freest election in the country’s political evolution, turned out, ironically, to be the seed that germinated into the prolonged struggle that gave birth to the democracy we currently enjoy since 1999.
4. In rising to strongly oppose the arbitrary annulment of the will of the majority of Nigerians as expressed in that historic election, the substantial number of our people who participated in the struggle to de-annul the election signified their fierce commitment to enthroning democracy as a form of government that best ennobles the liberty, the dignity of the individual and the integrity as well as the stability of the polity. The fierce opposition to the annulment of the June 12, 1993, presidential election and the unrelenting pro-democracy onslaught it unleashed was the equivalent of the battle against colonial rule by our founding fathers that resulted in the gaining of Nigeria’s independence in 1960.
THE NIGERIAN IDEAL
My Fellow Citizens,
I stand before you honoured to assume the sacred mandate you have given me. My love for this nation is abiding. My confidence in its people, unwavering. And my faith in God Almighty, absolute. I know that His hand shall provide the needed moral strength and clarity of purpose in those instances when we seem to have reached the limits of our human capacity.
