The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, Plateau State Branch, has demonstrated her love and solidarity to one of her Members and Professional colleague, Mr. Patrick Dariem, FCNA, on his swearing-in as a Special Adviser to the Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong.

Mr. Patrick Dariem, is a Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, ANAN. This medium brought you a report recently that he was appointed a Special Adviser to Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, the Governor of Plateau State, on Finance and Investment. Dariem and three others, who were appointed Special Advisers, respectively by Governor Lalong, were sworn-in today at the Banquet Hall, New Government House, little Rayfied, Jos, Plateau State. Among the many groups, individuals, organisations, government functionaries, traditional and religious leaders, and representatives of corporate bodies, that were on ground to show solidarity to Mr. Patrick Dariem, on his recent appointment, and subsequent swearing-in, today, 5th, September, 2016 by the Governor of Plateau state, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, are the members of the Plateau state branch of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, ANAN; the Branch Mr. Dariem, served as Chairman for two consecutive tenures. He is presently, the immediate past chairman of Plateau State Branch of ANAN, and a serving member of ANAN Council Committee, after serving in a similar capacity, previously.

Today marks my second important function in the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Town Planning as it pertains to our determination to addressing all issues that hinder effective Land Administration in the State, since our assumption of office.

 In my address during the commissioning of the Plateau Land Administration and Geographic Information System (PLAGIS) on the 10th June 2016, I informed the citizens of Plateau State that our approach to having an effective and efficient Land Administration will be anchored on best practices, that are globally acclaimed to address and provide solutions, to all the underlying causes of our under – development which are hinged on bad land administrative processes and practices.

Child protection is a practical activity which must be learned. The first practical approach to child protection is to know who a child is. It is a settled position of all legislation, and the Child Rights Act that any person under 18 years is a child and they are still evolving. That is why when you want to obtain certain information concerning the child’s situation you must relate with children taking into consideration their vulnerability.
In the course of our field works, the below listed were noted to be major protection concerns of children.

A Public Affairs analyst and Commentator, entrepreneurship consultant and trainer, Mr. Nnabugwu Chizoba, who spoke unbehalf of BEGE Foundation for Youths and Women, as the Executive Director,  in a recent programme, held in Jos, the Plateau State capital, has identified entrepreneurship as pivotal instrument in the struggle by government at different levels of governance in Nigeria, to pull the Nigerian economy out of the present economic quagmire.
Mr. Nnabugwu Chizoba, made the observation during the ceremony marking the flag off of the Simon Lalong Empowerment Scheme (SLEMS), held at the Dadin Kowa Youth Centre, Jos, used for the occasion. The event represented the flag off of the Scheme in the Northern Senatorial Zone, of Plateau State.
