PRANK WENT WRONG 4

"Oh my God!" my father inlaw exclaimed. "Children of nowadays will not kill us. What a wasted effort!"

"That was why I said you people should have listened to the young man in the first place. If you had done that, we wouldn't be here. However, now that we are here, what should be done should be done," Chief Afai submitted.

IT REALLY DOESN’T MATTER

Picture not related to the story

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

The devil said to JESUS, “If you are GOD’s Son, tell this stone to turn into bread.”

(Luke 4:3, CEV)

Luke 4:3 KJV

And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of GOD, command this stone that it be made bread.

TODAY’S WORD

After *JESUS* was baptized, GOD the Father said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Then *JESUS* was led into the desert to be tempted. After forty days, the enemy spoke today’s Scripture. The devil was saying, “*JESUS*, prove that You’re really the Son of GOD.” *JESUS* refused. He said, “Man doesn’t live by bread alone.” He was saying, “I don’t have anything to prove. My Father announced who I am. I was His Son in the water, and I’m His Son in the desert. I won’t waste My time trying to convince you of who I am. I have a destiny to fulfill.”

As with *JESUS*, it really doesn’t matter what the enemy or other people think of you.

You have nothing to prove. When GOD looks at you, He says, “That’s My child, in whom I am well pleased.” Others may not be for you, they may try to discredit you or withhold their approval, but big deal. You are approved. You are accepted. You are anointed. Now step into your destiny.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You that I can feel good about who I am because You made me just as I am and You are well pleased with me. Thank You that I can be free from trying to prove who I am to others. I’m happy to be Your child and to keep moving into my destiny. In *JESUS*’ Name, Amen.

ALWAYS BE IN BLOSSOM

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

Instead you thrill to GOD's Word, you chew on Scripture day and night. You're a tree replanted in Eden, bearing fresh fruit every month, never dropping a leaf, always in blossom.

(Psalm 1:2-3, MSG)

Psalm 1:2-3 KJV

[1] But his delight is in the law of the *LORD*; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

[3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

TODAY’S WORD

Today's Scripture says that when you meditate on GOD’s Word day and night, "You're a tree...always in blossom." That's GOD’s dream for your life - that you always have a smile, that you're always in peace, that you're always excited about your future. And, no, it doesn't mean that you'll never have adversities. But in those difficult times, because you have your thoughts fixed on Him, thoughts you've drawn from His Word, deep down there will be a confidence, a knowing that everything is going to be all right. You will know that GOD is still on the throne. He is fighting your battles, and you're not only going to come out, you're going to come out better off than you were before.

When you're in agreement with GOD, the Creator of the universe goes to work. GOD will cause His favor to shine down on you. He will cause you to stand out in your career. He will cause you to be at the right place at the right time, making sure that you succeed.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You that Your plan for my life is that I am always in blossom, that I'm always bearing fresh fruit. Thank You that I can fill my mind with Your Word and know Your thoughts toward me. I believe Your favor is shining down upon me. In *JESUS*' Name, Amen.

CULTURE: SO STRONG AND BEAUTIFUL

PRANK WENT WRONG 3

To start with, my people were not happy with the situation. Some of them scolded me for playing such an expensive prank on my wife.

Some were angry with my wife for taking the matter to her people without first confronting me.

Some were neutral, while some laughed over it.

At last, we made it to my wife's place.

Messages were sent across and within few minutes, my in-laws were complete.

The meeting began.

One of them stood up to address us. "Our in-laws, you're welcome to our house. Your house of course, because the day you married our daughter, we became one..."

"We are not one", one of the elders interrupted with so much anger in him. "We can never be one. They are our slaves. When our fathers fought the tribal war, we conquered them and made them work for us as slaves. That we gave them our daughter in marriage does not make our houses their houses. Chief Okor sit down if you don't know what to say. A slave and the master can never share the same table. They are slaves, place them where they belong."

That did not go down well with my people.
