Visited and climbed the100 steps to the ancient settlement of the Afizere People of Plateau State, North Central, Nigeria. Had an excellent view of Shere Hills, reputed as the highest peak on the Plateau, over 6000ft above the sea level.
History has it that until the coming of the British colonial masters to Nigeria, the people of Afizere lived in the hills.
A close observation of the picture above reveals a yellow portion with a black mark on the yellow portion showing the inscription 1.
The number 1 indicates the first step, which signifies the beginning of the 100 steps journey to the ancient settlement of the Afizere people of Plateau State, North Central Zone, Nigeria.

This picture has nothing to do with the story |
A story was told about a Military General who was to inspect a battalion of soldiers lined up by some officers who were waiting with them to be inspected by the Man of the moment, the Man on top, the Army General, the General Officer Commanding (GOC).
Of interest particularly is the fact that the troops were waiting for the arrival of the General under the rain. While the military officers waiting with the troops in the rain wore raincoat, the troops wore none, and on account of this were drenched heavily by the rain.
