Culture is part of the general values of any place. As part of the norms of any society, culture is therefore, an indication one way or the other of what is generally acceptable by a society. 

TRUE CULTURE IS A BINDING FORCE

Dear Parents, Uncles and Aunties, friends, relatives and neighbours, it is essential to know that culture binds, builds and inspires. It is also good to know that understanding of ones culture empowers the knowledge holders with better insight, incressed awareness and deeper understanding of their environment, which gives them the impetus, capacity and confidence to provide a leading role on issues relating to their core area or place of origin.

EMBRACE “CULTURE GOES TO SCHOOL (CGS)”: THE PROJECT FOR RAISING THE SOUND AT HEART, CULTURE LOVING TEENS, YOUTHS AND KIDS (TYK) IN NIGERIA

“Culture Goes to School (CGS)” is name of the Project. It is a school based culture driven, value re-orientation and capacity building intervention Project. It is designed to deepen the knowledge, understanding and skill of Teens, Youths and Kids (TYK) in Nigeria about what culture really is: the value and benefits to them and the society.

THE NGAS INITIATIVE AT THE MONUMENT OF TRADITIONAL NIGERIAN ARCHITECTURE (MOTNA), IS REAWAKENING AND INSPIRING

 

Reawakening, captivating and amazingly inspiring, may be, are the suitable adjectives to qualify the emergence, growing interest, influence and constantly increasing visibility and acceptance by the public of the now trending activities that the Ngas Nation of Plateau state, North Central Nigeria initiated at the Monument of Traditional Nigerian Architecture (MOTNA), located at Jos premises of the National Museum. The intensified activities by the Gamai Nation and plans by the other nations to come on stream, speaks volume of the Ngas initiative. Important to emphasise is the interest, commitment and hunger shown by the younger generation to flow with the now trending activities at the Ngas and Gamai villages at the MOTNA.

DIVERSITY: SUPPORTED BY INDIGENOUS CULTURES OF PLATEAU STATE, NIGERIA

Continuing from a previous publication, where the focus of discussion was the new trend of activities at the Monument of Traditional Nigerian Architecture (MOTNA), located inside the premises of National Museum Jos, this piece is compiled to strengthen the discourse.
