The African Film Institute (AFI) is proving to be intentional, deliberate and committed in its efforts to lay a solid foundation in Film Making and Creative Media Production for the over 300 hundred trainee participants.
The trainees are taking part in a 6 months, skill acquisition and empowerment training that the institute is organising for them in the City of Jos, the capital of Plateau state, North Central Nigeria.
The 6 months hands on training programme in Film Making and Creative Media Production is now at the Practice Phase.
Before now, the introductory Phase, which had several classes ran for a month and two weeks.
The pictures are from the Special Practical Session of the ongoing programme that the participants, the trainees were exposed to.
The Special Practical Phase was designed to expose the trainee participants to real professional Film Set.
The activities of each of the Special Practical Sessions were carefully designed to achieve a set or predetermined goal by the institute.
As part of the training programme, the Special Practical Phase, compromising of the different sessions lasted for two weeks in a stretch that included Saturdays. The sessions were conducted in different locations and at different times.
