MY CULTURE FOR PEACE MAIDEN EDITION: A CELEBRATION OF PEACE AND CREATIVITY

The massively attended maiden edition of My Culture for Peace 2026 that held recently in Taraba State, Nigeria, was a huge success, many people reveal.

The remarkable and distinctively colourful event was by every  stretch of the human imagination a unique celebration of culture and diversity, creativity, unity and peaceful coexistence.

Kudos to "We Africa Create" and the Taraba Human Rights International Film Festival (TAHRIFF): organizers of the agenda setting, change instigated and people oriented event.

According to an enthusiastic observer of the now trending Tarabe Cultural Festival that our correspondent spoke with "We Africa Create" (WAC) and the Taraba Human Rights International Film Festival (TAHRIFF) graciously stepped out, and without counting costs, seeking personal benefits or returns to their organizations decided to dedicate with unwavering commitment their valuable time and other resources to design and bring together the large number of people that you see here today to witness this event.

From the observation of Scoreline's correspondent the total programme package reveal that the organisers were not only intentional with theirndesign of the latest brand in Taraba state, but serious, careful and strategic with planning, management, and execution of their programme.

A combination of factors, such as indicated above must have worked together to ensure that the team of WAC and TAHRIFF attracted the number of culture oriented, richly talented and naturally endowed young people across Southern Taraba to showcase through drumming, dance and drama the various captivating, beautifully packaged and enviable, diverse heritage, culture and traditions of not only the Taraba people, but the Nigerian nation as a whole.

According to Mr Moses vyonku Samuel, the Taraba Cultural event put together by  "We Africa Create" and the Taraba Human Rights International Film Festival (TAHRIFF) demonstrated clearly that "Culture is a unifying force, a powerful and reliable tool for those genuinely interested in promoting Cultural diversity, and are unflinchingly committed to sustainable peace and unity in any society.

"I am not just being enthusiastic, bold and confident about this cultural festival and its benefits to the society, but indeed proud to note as always that culture is a dependable intstrument for nation-building and lasting development.

"An essential part of the reason "We Africa Create (WAC)" and Taraba Human Rights International Film Festival (TAHRIFF) decided to put this cultural festival together is to demonstrate glaringly that our children are not just the leaders of tomorrow as many people will always say, but to demonstrate to the World that the children are the peace makers, community builders and creative change makers of today, Mr Moses V. Samuel emphasizes.

"WAC and TAHRIFF are not just encouraging children to dream — we are working with them. We are preparing and empowering the children to be useful in life, to be able to discover, develop and position themselves properly, and prove in the future to be both knowledgeable and skillful.

"We are cooking the children to be active, competent, functional and impact driven.

"Our self-imposed mandate is to prepare and present the children of today as people who are confident and able to deploy effectively and efficiently their time and creative ability generously in the future.

"Essentially, we wish to remind them and the older generation that it is never too early to start living a meaningful, people oriented and impact driven life, Mr Moses V. Samuel concluded.
